One on One with Dr. Cedric Coleman
Our “One on One with Dr. Cedric Coleman” mentorship program is a unique opportunity for medical students and graduates to learn from an experienced internist and Assistant Professor at Rush Medical Center. Dr. Coleman has over 20 years of experience and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the Chicago area.
Through this program, students will have the chance to work closely with Dr. Coleman, gain valuable clinical knowledge, and receive personalized guidance and mentorship. Whether you’re a medical student seeking to enhance your skills or an international medical graduate preparing for residency in the United States, our mentorship program with Dr. Coleman is an excellent opportunity to learn from one of the best in the field.

Orientation & Certifications
Placements include a pre-placement orientation on HIPAA requirements, cultural-competency, and an overview on securing other training (Basic Life Support Certification, Basic First Aid Certification, Blood Borne Pathogens Certification, etc.).
When your placement is secured, one of our staff members will contact you to set up your orientation.
CV & Personal Statement Review
At R&T IMG Village, we offer a complementary review and critique of your resume and personal statement, including tips and suggestions for improvements. This review is included in your placement package and there is no additional fee.
Homestay Referrals List
Your rotation includes information about housing that we have evaluated for quality and convenience prior to your arrival. We make every effort to give you options that are within 1 hour, door-to-door, by public transport to your clinical rotation placement. Homestay offers a unique insight into US culture, opportunity to perfect your English skills, and a warm, hospitable environment. Homestay enables you to focus on your clerkship and not worry about your basic needs like utilities, wifi, laundry, etc.
Letters of Recommendation (LORs) and Evaluation
For each 4-week rotation, They guarantee a minimum of one high-quality, performance-based letter of recommendation from your supervising physician. The content of the letters is subject to the supervisor’s discretion. Your supervising physician can also provide you with feedback based on a standardized clinical evaluation format or a form from your medical school.
